Fondation Autisme Luxembourg is hiring a Horticulturist / Market Gardener (m/f/x) for its sites in Munshausen and Rambrouch, Luxembourg. This is a permanent, full-time position for a qualified horticulture professional who can manage an organic vegetable garden, seasonal crops, greenhouses and flower beds.

The successful candidate will plan and maintain organic gardening activities, produce vegetables for internal consumption, manage crop rotation and composting, support the educational team with organic gardening training, and maintain stocks of tools, seeds and gardening equipment. Several years of experience are considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and maintain an organic vegetable garden according to the seasons, including winter crops and greenhouse cultivation.
  • Plant, grow and harvest vegetables and maintain flower beds.
  • Contribute to food self-sufficiency by producing vegetables for internal consumption.
  • Adjust crop production according to internal needs.
  • Train and support the educational team in organic gardening practices.
  • Manage the annual gardening calendar.
  • Plan and maintain appropriate crop rotation.
  • Carry out composting and other sustainable gardening practices.
  • Manage stocks of gardening tools, seeds and other materials.
  • Ensure gardening resources are managed with a sustainable and long-term approach.
  • Work across the Foundation’s different sites as required.

Requirements

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in horticulture are considered an advantage.
  • Candidates must hold a diploma in horticulture.
  • Experience in organic gardening and sustainable cultivation would be beneficial.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma in Horticulture.
  • Good knowledge of organic gardening practices.
  • Ability to plan seasonal cultivation, planting and harvesting activities.
  • Ability to manage crop rotation, composting and greenhouse cultivation.
  • Ability to manage gardening tools, seeds and other materials.
  • Good command of Luxembourgish, French and German.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Own vehicle available for travel between work sites.
